Trick or treat!

I made the rookie mom mistake of making a Halloween costume for a 3 year old a month before Halloween. 

You wanted to be a volcano, I looked it up, brought material and your grandmother sewed a solid costume for you. I was so proud of myself and your costume till the questions started coming.

You : “Can I be a wolf for Halloween? Wolfs are super scary”.

Me : “ You are sort of a wolf, you are brown, scary, if you put on the costume and roars and say grr, you will be a wolf”

You: "ok, cool, I will be a scary wolf who can also become a volcano"

Next…

You :“Can I be a flower?”

Me : “Do you think anyone will treat a flower? Everyone will trick you! You will look too cute and beautiful!”

You : “Oh yaa, no, volcano is better”

Next…

You : “ Can I be nail polish?”

Me : “ You are sort of a nail polish, you are a brown nail polish with a red cap.”

You: “ I am a volcano nail polish whose lava is like nail polish…not hot”

Next… after the storm just before Halloween

You: “ Can I be wind for Halloween”

Me panicking over the logistics of making you look like wind : “ Why?”

You: “ Wind can be super strong and topple down trees and power lines, everyone will be scared of me for Halloween”

Me: “ Well, good idea, but volcanoes and stronger and scarier”

You:” But you said there is no volcano in town”

Me: “ That’s what makes you so special. You will be only volcano in town…”

You: “ Ok, you are rigjt, I am pretty scary”

Phew…got out of that one…
